Rohit Sardana, senior columnist and one of the top anchors of Hindi news channel Aaj Tak died on Friday, as per individuals near him.
Rajdeep Sardesai took to twitter and expressed, “More awful news companions. Notable Tv commentator Rohit Sardana has died. Had a coronary episode earlier today. Profound sympathies to his family. Tear.”
Sardana had joined Aaj Tak in 2017 after he left Zee News. He facilitated the discussion show “Dangal” on Aaj Tak.
Sardana was a beneficiary of the 2018 Ganesh Vidyarthi Puraskar Award. He was among the most famous appearances of TV news coverage in India.
After the information on death of Sardana, sympathies began pouring in. Congress representative Randeep Singh Surjewala in a tweet said, “Profoundly disheartened and stunned to find out about the death of Aaj Tak writer Rohit Sardana. It’s essentially incredible. Rohit had recuperated from Covid-19 and was once again grinding away. My genuine sympathies to the relatives and Aaj Tak bunch.”
